Summary:

As we are engaged in an unprecedented  social and ecological transition our cities and communities are also being reshaped by new technologies and business models that are amplifying work and social inequalities and eroding the traditional social contract. Drawing from the current experiences of democratic, grassroots organizations that are transforming their communities  and creating a new manufacturing revival in several US cities we will explore how mutualism can create an economy for all, from the ground up.
